Beechwood RAD Project

The Beechwood in Avondale is currently undergoing Rental Assistance Demonstration (RAD).

The Beechwood, located in historic Avondale, offers independent living in a beautiful neighborhood setting. Built in 1969 by CMHA, this 13-story building on
a 20-acre lot features 146 units: 13 efficiency apartments, 132 one-bedroom apartments, and one two-bedroom apartment. The building is currently undergoing a full
rehabilitation, which began in March 2025, to provide residents with updated living quarters, including new bathrooms, new kitchen cabinets and countertops,
new LVT flooring, upgraded plumbing and electrical systems throughout the building, and renovated community spaces.  Its central location provides convenient
access to downtown. Residents enjoy an amenity-rich environment.
