Cincinnati Metropolitan Housing Authority's new mantra is “Re-Imagining Affordable Housing”. It ties in with the CMHA Gold Performance Standard, representing a new vision of how affordable housing and rental assistance is provided in the community.
In addition to the conversion and preservation of public housing through HUD tools like the Rental Assistance Demonstration (RAD) the agency is taking an innovative and customer centered approach to the work done in the housing industry and throughout Hamilton County. Customer service improvements include the Vendor Café, Resident and Property Owner Portals, Virtual Inspections and the Tools for the Trades Program. The pending results will include more public-private partnerships, mixed-income communities, improved housing standards, new funding models and economic and workforce inclusion. Re-Imagining Affordable Housing also includes the great work that is taking place in the West End with residents, partners and community members working together on the Choice Neighborhood Planning for Stanley Rowe Towers, Row Houses and Liberty Street Apartments.
