It was a Grand Opening to remember! On Friday, June 6, 2025, the Cincinnati Metropolitan Housing Authority held the Grand Opening of Logan Commons in the Findlay Market district of Over-The-Rhine. This newly constructed building for seniors represents CMHA’s continued investment of more than $264 million in Hamilton County. CMHA promotes our mission by continuing to provide quality, affordable housing for families throughout Hamilton County through this newly constructed building for seniors! Less than 10 minutes from Downtown Cincinnati, it's in close proximity to public transportation, entertainment, restaurants, and grocery stores. Logan Commons is more than just a home; it’s a community for our seniors.
The Grand Opening was standing room only as partners, stakeholders, residents, and CMHA staff cut the ribbon and celebrated this momentous occasion. CMHA CEO Gregory Johnson commended staff who brought the construction of the new building to fruition and thanked our partners for the assistance in funding and providing a location in Over-the-Rhine for the building. CMHA Board member Lann Field, who lives in the neighborhood, shared her excitement for the residents to experience all that downtown has to offer.
Logan Commons is a 42-unit building designed for seniors, conveniently located along the streetcar route and just steps away from Findlay Market. This four-story structure features 38 one-bedroom apartments and four two-bedroom apartments. Each spacious apartment offers modern amenities, including quartz countertops, stylish dark-stained cabinets, stainless steel appliances with ice makers and disposals. Large windows fill the rooms with natural light, while specialty blinds provide privacy.
The bathrooms are equipped with easily accessible showers and tubs, tiled flooring, and modern vanities. Residents can enjoy a beautiful courtyard that includes a covered area and swings for relaxation. Additional amenities include a small urban garden, laundry facilities on every floor, a library with a reading area, and an exercise room specifically designed for seniors.
CMHA offers affordable housing opportunities for individuals, families, and veterans throughout Hamilton County. The agency continues the vision of utilizing sustainable funding models to preserve and develop housing in partnership with community participants.
